My morning began at Immaculate Heart Academy in Township of Washington, where I took part in the 47th Annual Commencement Exercises. The Keynote Address was given by an IHA alum, the Honorable Erin C. Conaton, who currently serves as Under Secretary of the U.S. Air Force. Congratulations to my beautiful niece, Dana, and all of her classmates from IHA Class of 2010.
Then, it was on to Mahwah, where Governor Christie attended the Ramsey Republican Club Brunch. There were many friendly and familar faces there, including Ramsey Mayor Chris Botta and Councilwoman Vanessa Jachzel, BCRO Chairman Bob Yudin, Saddle River Mayor Sam Raia and Councilwoman Karen Mastriano, Bergen Freeholders John Driscoll and Rob Hermansen, GOP Freeholder Candidates John Felice and Frank Valenzuela, and fellow Assemblyman Dave Russo from District 40. Kudos to Bridget Kelly for another wonderful, well-attended event.
Up next: Dana’s Graduation party. We are all so proud of her and what she has accomplished. Dana, you have a bright and promising future ahead of you!
Later this afternoon, I’ll be awarding Citations of Recognition to Eagle Scouts and Girl Scouts from District 39. Congratulations to the Eagle Scouts from Upper Saddle River Troop 133, and the Girl Scouts from Upper Saddle River and Allendale who have earned their Bronze & Silver Awards. I look forward to meeting you all in person at your award ceremonies today.
To everyone else… hope you have a relaxing Sunday!
