A lifelong resident of Bergen County, Bob Schroeder has been actively involved in public service for thirty years. Since joining the State Assembly in January 2010 as a representative of the 39th Legislative District, Bob has served on the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, the Homeland Security and State Preparedness Committee and the Special Committee on Economic Development. He was also appointed by Governor Christie to serve on the Unemployment Insurance Benefits Task Force. Bob looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of District 39 along with Senator Gerald Cardinale and Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi.

Bob Schroeder first demonstrated his strong commitment to serving his community when he joined the Township of Washington Volunteer Fire Department in 1980. He went on to serve two terms as Fire Chief and remains an active member of the department. Elected to serve as a Councilman in the Township of Washington in 1991, Bob was a driving force in local government, holding the posts of Council President three times and Council Vice-President three times.

He is the founder of All Points International Distributors, a company based in Hillsdale that supports international relief efforts on behalf of the U.S. Government, NATO, the United Nations, and other relief organizations. He has traveled extensively to provide aid and assistance to areas in need, both abroad and here at home.

A 1978 graduate of Westwood High School and a 1982 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Robert Schroeder has been married to his wife Tina for over twenty years and is a loving husband and father of two. He remains active in his community, sitting on the board of many civic organizations, and serving on the Consultative Board for Immaculate Heart Academy. He is also a Trustee for the Leo P. McGuire Public Safety and Education Foundation, a member of the NJ/NY Fireman¿s Association, NJ Firechiefs Association, and the Bergen County 200 Club, and Past President of the Pascack Valley Police Vest Fund. He is the founder of KeepNJSafe.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting Victims' Rights.
