| I want to thank you for your generous support
in my campaign for Governor. Many of you were there from the first day
when we kicked off our campaign over a year ago and others joined us as
we campaigned across this great state we call home. It was your support
that energized and motivated me to campaign 18 hours a day, seven days
a week, because I knew you shared the same concern I have to make New
Jersey a better place to live. Our campaign message was clear; our citizens want lower property taxes, are concerned about homeland security and are tired of the transportation problems that beleaguer all of us. As other candidates entered the race, they brought their own ideas, but as the campaign drew to a close, everyone was talking about taxes, homeland security and transportation, so we learned our original premise on issues was correct. We also learned that the advantage the two front-runners had in this race was that they had both run statewide before, which is why we will continue to fight for the people of New Jersey to receive their fair share of Homeland Security money from Washington, to improve our highways and for lower taxes for all of our citizens. I believe that if these concerns were worth fighting for the last eighteen months, they are worth fighting for until we achieve victory. I look forward to your continued support.
